Jared Eberwein on Ride
Heres the low down on Jared Eberweins Ride cover, straight from the man him self.
Big congrats to Cristian Becerine, as he takes the USABMX Vet Title over in Tulsa, Oklahoma. It came right down to the very last second in the main event. Cristian held his cool and took the title for the 2nd year in a row. Right on Big C! David Herman has had a great year hitting the podium consistently all year long against the World’s best. Going into the Grands, David had a shot at the Top 3 overall with a good showing. Friday, David took a solid 2nd place behind Sam Willoughby bumping up a few more points and a shot at National number 2 with a good showing Saturday night. Points were tight but, unfortunately, a bad lap in his quarter final ended David’s year and he secured the National #4. Not too shabby considering the World’s best were all racing this year. Congrats David on a stellar year. The Machine, Maris Strombergs, was back at the Grands and looked good all weekend with a main event appearance Friday and a bad lap on Saturday night in the semi - ended Maris’ weekend. Even though the results didn’t factor for Maris he put on a good show, as always. Maris heads down to Colombia for a race next week were I’m sure he will redeem himself.
As always, a special thanks to our sponsors for making it happen:

TJ Ellis in Miami
TJ Ellis just sent over these pics from the ASA event in Miami Florida. TJ was taken out in the earlier rounds of the event, but looked right at home on these big wooden kickers.
Jared Eberwein hits 65th
Heres a short one of Jared taking a few runs through the 65th park in southern California. Jared lives close to this park and makes riding it look easy.
Jared Eberwein at half time
Jared Eberwein is mixing it up. Jared just did a Oakland Raiders halftime show. They set up ramps in the middle of the field during one of the Raiders home games in Oakland. Hows that for pressure, a full stadium of Raider fans.
TJ Long Jump
We made a trip to San Diego to hit up the Markit Jam at the Clairmont Skatepark. In Normal Markit fashion it was a great time with a series of fun contest and BBQ. Heres a short clip of TJ Ellis winning the long jump contest. It was scarey to watch as they ripped into this sketchy looking kick ramp. Here TJ cleared the 33 ft mark.
USABMX Disney Cup
It was a consistent weekend all around for the Team at the USABMX Disney Cup in Orlando Florida last weekend. The three day National meant long days and lots of laps but in the end, we walked away with some great results for the Team. David Herman finished the weekend with 3 Main events, two 2nds and great points going into the Grands next month. Cristian Becerine continued his winning streak with 2 wins and max points going into the Grands and Team Manager Dale Holmes ended the weekend with 3 podiums and a win on Saturday. Maris Strombergs didn’t have a great weekend with a crash on day 1 and his final appearance day 2 he still struggled a bit from the crash the day prior and decided to pull the plug and fly home Sunday morning to rest up and hopefully get back to 100% for the Grands next month.

Team Report #usabmx Fresno by @RobertRiofrio
Fresno Redline Cup
For the second year in a row Fresno, California was the host for the Redline Cup West. It is also the second year Fresno hosted a pro series event.
Dale Holmes, Cristian Becerine, and two-time gold medalist Maris Strombergs loaded up the Freeagent/Rockstar van and made their way to the Central Valley for the race weekend.
The facility in Fresno’s Woodward Park is a BMX riders dream. Riders will never find themselves getting bored in this place. Aside from the track the facility has a pump track, a section that includes 40 + table tops, and a dirt jumping section. This year the Fresno crew made some changes to the track. The most noticeable change was on the second straight. Much to the delight of the pros the pro set had a bigger first jump and the doubles were stretched out.
Maris Strombergs – The Latvian heart throb was back to his gold medal form in his motos on Saturday. Taking a 2,1,2. Maris drew an outside Lane in the first AA main. Not a problem for the Olympian as he won the battle to the first turn and held it to the finish line. In the second main Maris had the favorable lane one and used it to his advantage, rocketing out of the first turn in the lead and taking the win. The Machine had some problems in the third main and finished with a fourth place. A 1,1,4 proved to be low points for the day putting him on top of the box. The Machine’s Sunday morning started off great with a win in the first moto. His semi was little more dramatic then he would like as he unclipped down the first straight. He made up more ground than a F16 at supersonic speed and pushed himself at the line into the main event. In the first main Maris snapped out of the gate charging for the first turn narrowly missing out on the holeshot money. He finished up the race with a second place. The second main was a great battle between Maris and Sam Willoughby. Maris lead from the start, however it was Willoughby with the push at the line and the win. The third main saw Maris take the holeshot and lead the race from start to finish. A 2,2,1 was a enough to give him the win for the day.
Cristian Becerine – Big C took his AA experience and Freeagent Limo right to the front in the first Vet Pro main on Saturday. The second main was a carbon copy of the first main with Big C winning by several bike lengths. In the 3rd main Cristian completed the hat trick and took home the overall win for the day. Cristian picked up where he left off the day and won the first two Vet Pro mains. He completed the weekend sweep by winning the final main making it a perfect weekend. Big C has put himself in great position to defend his Vet Pro title.
Dale Holmes – The UK legend is newly reclassified to the Am ranks and having a blast on his old school flat pedals. On top of his team manager duties Mr. Holmes has been racking up wins from Louisville to Chula in the 41 and over expert class. In Fresno Dale kept up his winning ways and dominated the older expert class both days.
