Bob pulls out the W in Albuquerque

Alec Bob pulls out the win at the Spring Nationals in Albuquerque New Mexico. Lets check in with him for the race report.

It has been a busy past two months of racing for myself. Oldsmar was my first elite race on the big hill. I was able to make it to semis Sunday but failed to move on from rounds on Friday and Saturday. Collegiate nationals were in Monroe, La this year. It was a great weekend for myself winning every lap except the final on Sunday due to my slid out in turn 1 (while in the lead). With my win on Saturday and my teammates win both days our team walked away with our 6 Collegiate National title in a row.

After a 4 year absence I returned to ABQ for a fun filled weekend at elevation. On Friday and Saturday I had high points in motos which kept me from moving on to semis. I turned things around Sunday and won the pro open class. This win is my third win so far in the pro class and I’m stoked.

My next few races will be in Charlotte, NC next weekend and Atlanta, GA in late April.

We are all riding at the Y.M.C.A!

Our guys were at it again, this time out at the YMCA skate park in San Diego, check them out!

Letting It Loose at the Escondido Sports Center

There is nothing better than having a park to yourself, and that’s what happened when we headed out to the Escondido Sports Center.

Alec Bob off to a Good Start

This past weekend was my first race back since my injury in September. It was refreshing to be back at the race and seeing so many familiar faces again. On the first day of racing I was rather anxious. Once the jitters were out of the way I was able to ride more consistently and smooth. After wheeling out of the gate in Friday’s main I ended up fifth. Day 2 I was mentally stronger and ready to improve my results. After winning 2/3 preliminary rounds I finished 3rd in the main. On the third day of racing my body was feeling the fatigue of the previous race days, but mentally I was finding my groove. I won my second and third rounds including my stacked semi final. In the main I didn’t have the best start and got squeezed out down the first straight and salvaged a fifth. Overall the weekend was great for my first race back. Only a couple things to work on and I will be back out in front.
Next week I will be at the Olympic training center for a week to prepare for the SX World Cups then I will be in Phoenix the following weekend for the my first elite race of the year. Cant wait, see you out there.
