Even though there was a bit of “rain dodging” resulting in a bit of a delay, Cristian Becerine and David Herman had a good time Wednesday night at Dacono BMX in Colorado conducting a clinic and hanging out with the local kids. Dacona is David’s home track and has played an important part in his BMX roots so we flew Cristian over to Colorado from California to Team up with David and hang out for a few days. Thanks to both Dacona BMX and all of the kids that came out and rode. Cheers

Stephan Murrays Banger and Mash Jam went down over the weekend. Bangers and Mash was held in Stephans front yard in So Cal, where he had a massive jump built. Dirt riders were invited to compete in a best trick jam format event. Riders were going nuts on the jump. When the dust settled TJ Ellis came out as the champ. TJ won the event with a Superman backflip to tail whip. Check back for more coverage of Bangers and Mash.

Over the weekend the Pro Team headed out to North Carolina for the USABMX Nationals. Great track and facility yielded a solid bag of results. Cristian Becerine has been on a streak lately and took the wins both days. It was a consistent weekend for David Herman, who placed 4th on Saturday and hit the podium Sunday with a good 3rd. The Machine rode well all weekend. On Saturday, a few mistakes cost him his spot on the box but as usual he made a strong comeback Sunday battling for the win and ended up with a 2nd behind Sam Willoughby. Maris also scored the added Answer Holeshot award, which offers a little more padding to the wallet, which is always nice. Good to see both Maris and David on the box at the same time.

This coming Wednesday, May 15th, Cristian and David will be doing a Clinic over in Colorado at the Dacona BMX while Maris heads back to Europe for the next round of the European Championships in Germany.

Hesperia BMX  – Hesperia, CA – Saturday, May 25th, 2013, 1pm-3pm

Maris jumped back on the plane and headed to the Czech Republic for the 3rd & 4th rounds of the European Championships this weekend. His first stop was Prague where he met with Rockstar CZ and did a bit of promo including a photo shoot featuring Rockstar drinks bearing both his name and photo on each of the cans. Pretty cool. Maris has a large following in Europe both on and off the track. It’s great to see Rockstar ahead of the game once again with great promo and bringing more media attention to the sport of BMX. Maris secured a win both days and now is 4 for 4 on the 2013 European Championship Rounds. He’s now headed back to the US and plans to hit up the next few USABMX Nationals slated for North Carolina and Nashville.

Cristian Becerine has been keeping busy as usual with a two-day back-to-back clinic session. Saturday he was at Bighorn BMX in Reno then got back on the road for day two and pulled into Northern Cal with a second clinic at Elkhorn BMX. Full crowds both days and lots of great feedback from participants – great job, Big C!
