Maris Strombergs 2010 UCI World Champion
August 1, 2010
Maris Strombergs came to South Africa in hopes of repeating his 2008 World Championship victory.
Strombergs showed why he is the fastest racere in th world as her was never in peril as he esily transferred to the finals at the purpose-built track at the Royal Showgrounds.
In the final race of the World Championships, Maris took a slight holeshot lead over local favorite Sifiso Nhlapo. Maris and Skizo were a tight one-two until Maris pulled a bike length lead in the rhythm section in rout to his second World Title in 3 years.
In the Junior Men's final Free Agent Connor Fields took a huge holeshot and was headed for the biggest victory of his career when he got crossed-up in the rhythym section and crashed heavily allowing allowing French rider Sylvain Andre to grab the victory from Free Agent Pro Kristers Lejins (Latvia) and Twan van Gendt (Netherlands).
In addition to Maris' title, Free Agent won three other World Titles. Dorus Brink took home World Champion Cruiser. David Oquendo won the World Champion Junior Cruiser title and Marco Dellisola (Free Agent/Stay Strong) became World Champion in the Masters class.

Kyle Bennett Injury Update after crash at Olympic Training Center
July 6, 2010
As many of you are aware, Kyle Bennett, was involved in a crash with Donny Robinson while training at the OTC in San Diego. Here’s an update on Kyle condition…as we understand it from the medical staff, Kyle is in pain at the moment but his doctors have confirmed that he is expected to make a full recovery. Kyle has two fractures in his collar bone, three fractured ribs, a bruised lung, a broken cheek bone and a torn liver. Thankfully, the doctors have advised against any surgeries at this time, as they believe Kyle will be able to heal entirely on his own. He will stay at Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego for the next week or so to ensure he continues to progress.
Kyle’s family and close friends and trainer, Sean Dwight, as well as the OTC Staff are standing close by to offer both emotional and physical support. We thank you in advance for your well-wishes. If you’d like to send notes to Kyle, please do so on either is facebook page or on any of the regular BMX forms, as we know Kyle will be checking both regularly.
We’ll keep you updated on his continued progress.
Kyle is in good spirits, is expected to make a full recovery, and not surprisingly, is already excited to get back on his bike and make 2011 his year!

Ambush Down Under
April 17, 2010
My name is Kimon Davis and I’m a racer from Australia. I’ve been racing for a while now. I race back in 2002 in Perth where I was living after breaking my left elbow and then went on to compete in the 2003 BMX worlds in Perth, Western Australia. I then retired as work took over and I couldn’t keep up my training.
I moved to Sydney in 2009 and I bought a brand new bike. I thought I’d buy a Free Agent Ambush and see how that goes. I went well in the first season of our club series at Terrigal BMX club where I signed up. I managed to get 8th place overall and a trophy. I pushed harder into series 2 and got up to 4th but got pushed back into 7th place. I ended up 7th overall. Then I trained harder and upgraded few parts on my bike and in series 3 I ended up 3rd overall.
I wanted to write this letter to tell you what an awesome frame and bike you designed. I hope that you continue to keep on improving the bike as its working well. Here are a few pictures of my bike.
Take care and hope racing is going well. Give my regards to the rest of the Free Agent Team.
Thanks,
Kimon

Strombergs Takes UCI Supercross, Conner Fields Earns Bronze
September 27th, 2009
Olympic gold medalist Maris Strombergs (LAT) scored a huge victory at round three of the UCI BMX Supercross World Cup in Chula Vista, California. Australian Sam Willoughby narrowly earned Silver just in front Free Agent Factory racer Connor Fields.
Maris got the the holeshot from lane one and led wire-to-wire, while 17-year-old Conner Fields, back from injury earlier this year was fourth into the first turn. Conner moved into third on the second to last straight and pulled even with Aussie Sam Willoughby in the final berm. Connor just missed the Silver medal by a 1/4 second, but to earn Bronze after his comeback is remarkable.
Another great weekend for Free Agent. Click here for video of the race.
