Free Agent racer Maris Strombergs (Latvia) has won Olympic Gold for the second time.

The 2008 Beijing Olympic Gold Medalist just pulled off the repeat in London.

Maris worked his way through a competitive field of 32 to qualify for the Main Event held Friday afternoon. Maris was up against the fastest racers in the world including Connor Fields (USA), Sam Willoughby (AUS) and Liam Phiilps (GB) in the Gold Medal event.

Maris drew gate 3 and when the gate dropped Maris pulled a slight holeshot and reached the first turn just in front of the current World Champion, Australian Sam Willoughby. Maris never looked back as he held the lead to the finish.

Congratulations Maris on your incredible victory.
