Juan Marin Wins in Columbia
Big congrats to Juan Marin for his win down in Columbia this past weekend in Elite Mens Class.
USABMX/UCI Season Opener for the Free Agent at Oldsmar Florida
Great start to the season for the FA Team at the USABMX/UCI Gator Nationals in Oldsmar Florida. With the World’s best Elite riders all in attendance and with our very own, Maris Strombergs, securing the Win on Saturday, it gave us a sneak peek at Maris Strombergs’ renewed focus and ever-present determination as we lead up to this year’s World Championships and Olympic Games in England. Despite, fighting off flu-like symptoms on Saturday, Maris managed to ride strong in the 50-deep field and grabbed the win in the main event. Maris, unfortunately, awoke even worse on Sunday and as a result was unable to compete. Instead, he headed back to So Cal for some much-needed rest.
New FA hopeful, David Herman, was winning laps all weekend. A small mishap on Saturday cost him a place in the main event but he came back stronger on Sunday and secured a spot in the main.
Our Amateur Team showed up strong as always with Stephen Larralde grabbing a 2nd and 3rd for the weekend while “Bling, Bling Juan Marin” walked away with 3 big wins!

Maris Takes the PRO/UCI Series Gator Nationals in Florida
Maris Stombergs won the 1st big race of the year this weekend in Oldsmar Florida against the World’s Best. David Herman was also in the Pro final on Sunday. Stephen Larralde placed 2nd and 3rd , Juan Marin also won 3 times over the weekend in his class. Full report to come.

Team Free Agent / Rockstar Energy Bellflower BMX Clinic
Another successful FA/Rockstar clinic with 60+ kids and a full-team line up including: Dale Holmes, Maris Strombergs, Stephen Larralde, Crisitan Becerine, Juan Marin, Marcus Hampton, and David Herman. Thanks to everyone that came out. We had kids of all ages and sizes, learning everything about rhythm sections, gates, berms, and finishing strong.

Team Update / Europe / NBL Grand Nationals
It was another great weekend for the Free Agent/Rockstar Team with good results Worldwide.

At at the European Championships in The Netherlands, our very own Dorus Brink, continues to dominate winning both days. In Junior’s, Latvia’s Kristaphs Vinters, was 4th and Sharon Van der Kolk secured the 5th spot.
In the US, for those of you that weren’t there, we headed to Louisville, Kentucky for the NBL Grand Nationals. Maris Strombergs continues his comeback strides from injury with a solid 2nd. Kyle Bennett is heating up again and just missed the Podium with a 4th but he’s looking good and definitely back on form. Stay tuned for more to come with Bennett. Congrats to our, Juan Marin, he killed it again winning his entire class.
Kyle Bennett will be conducting a Free Agent / Rockstar clinic Saturday, September 10th, at the Beltway 8 Track in Houston, Texas. Our California-based riders will be in full force at California Sate Championships at the Orange YMCA on Sunday, September 11th, alongside all other Rockstar Energy sponsored Teams. A great event and fun-filled day for sure.
