The Free Agent/Rockstar Clinic Tour rolls into Chula Vista this Saturday, March 24th from 3:00-5:00p.m. for your last chance “train on” before the following weekend’s Pre-SoCal Nationals & the USAC National Championships. Pre-signs at the track …are $35/rider or $40/rider day of. Lots of free product rolling in (Shimano was just added as a sponsor) so the loot bags will be stuffed to the hilt. Rewarding Local Foster Youth in San Diego County
The Free Agent/Rockstar Team partnered with Toby Wells Foundation (www.tobywells.org) to offer an incentive for several local foster teens at San Pasqual Academy over the past several months to achieve both good marks in school and to be on their best behavior. The REWARD earned: New Free Agent bikes, helmets, annual memberships for each teen through USABMX and other goodies from both of our major team sponsors, Rockstar & Fox. Here’s to encouraging and supporting all of our local foster youth to reach their fullest potential. Cheers!
USABMX/UCI Season Opener for the Free Agent at Oldsmar Florida
Great start to the season for the FA Team at the USABMX/UCI Gator Nationals in Oldsmar Florida. With the World’s best Elite riders all in attendance and with our very own, Maris Strombergs, securing the Win on Saturday, it gave us a sneak peek at Maris Strombergs’ renewed focus and ever-present determination as we lead up to this year’s World Championships and Olympic Games in England. Despite, fighting off flu-like symptoms on Saturday, Maris managed to ride strong in the 50-deep field and grabbed the win in the main event. Maris, unfortunately, awoke even worse on Sunday and as a result was unable to compete. Instead, he headed back to So Cal for some much-needed rest.
New FA hopeful, David Herman, was winning laps all weekend. A small mishap on Saturday cost him a place in the main event but he came back stronger on Sunday and secured a spot in the main.
Our Amateur Team showed up strong as always with Stephen Larralde grabbing a 2nd and 3rd for the weekend while “Bling, Bling Juan Marin” walked away with 3 big wins!

Maris Takes the PRO/UCI Series Gator Nationals in Florida
Maris Stombergs won the 1st big race of the year this weekend in Oldsmar Florida against the World’s Best. David Herman was also in the Pro final on Sunday. Stephen Larralde placed 2nd and 3rd , Juan Marin also won 3 times over the weekend in his class. Full report to come.
